Kellie Martin, an American actress and filmmaker popularly known for her roles for her role as Christy Huddleston on the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the family drama Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Her other notable roles include appearing in the titular role in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin, born to a department store seller and a kindergarten teacher began her professional career as an actress at age seven, when her aunt, who was the nanny of Michael Landon's kids assisted Martin land a role in 1981's series "Father Murphy". Her professional career began following her graduation from Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of part-time roles in the TV and film industry. Martin is a professional actor, as well as an accomplished photographer and dancer, has been working in the field for over 20 years. Two daughters are hers, she's the Lupus spokesperson and spreads awareness about the condition every day since the death of her sister, who was the age of 19.
